As Managing Attorney, Jennifer L. Schneider oversees the financial, operational, marketing, and human resource management of Drake Loeb PLLC on behalf of the partners and practices in the transactional area of employment law. Her management responsibilities include handling or overseeing the firm's billing, collections, bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis, staff and attorney recruitment and interviewing, employment practices and policies, staff and attorney performance, website, and marketing initiatives. As an attorney, she provides counsel to businesses seeking advice on employment law issues in the workplace including the drafting and administering of handbook policies.
A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Jennifer began her career as an associate attorney in the areas of estate planning, estate litigation, and matrimonial law at a law firm whose owner also ran a national paralegal school. Through this association, she began over time to shift her attention to assist in the development and management of the paralegal education curriculum and standards for the school, working closely with William Statsky, the renowned author of "Introduction to Paralegalism" and other legal textbooks. She served as an advisor to Rockland Community College during the early development of its paralegal program and provided services to the United States Department of Education as an auditor of paralegal schools in the United States to determine their compliance with standards for certification.
After moving to St. Louis, Missouri, she began work as a legal studies professor and Assistant to the President of a college, gaining valuable experience in the overall management of the college. Upon returning to New York, she began working for Richard J. Drake and James R. Loeb, managing all aspects of their law firm -- an affiliation that has proudly lasted more than twenty years to her present position as Managing Attorney at Drake Loeb PLLC.
