Cordisco Named Chairman of the Board of Orange County Water Authority

Summer 2021

The Orange County Water Authority ("OCWA") recently named Drake Loeb PLLC Partner Dominic Cordisco as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. Cordisco also serves on OCWA's Audit and Finance Committee, as well as its Governance Committee.

The OCWA was created to address the long-term water needs of Orange County, with programs focused on water supply, water resource protection, watershed planning, and conservation. It supports local, intermunicipal, and regional water planning and projects, and coordinates analysis of County water resources to provide a scientific basis for planning and decision making. The OCWA is also focused on educational initiatives, including providing programs for elementary and high school students that teach them the value of water and the importance of conservation.

In response to his nomination, he notes, "It's a privilege to assist Orange County with planning and funding opportunities for the improvement of water resources. There is no resource more precious and needed than clean water for all." Cordisco's legal practice is concentrated in municipal representation, land use and zoning, and environmental law; he also serves on the Boards of Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation and the Orange County Citizens Foundation.
