TEDxNewburgh: Cordisco Featured Speaker at Inaugural Event
"On the Internet, No One Knows You're a Dog"
Dominic Cordisco was honored by being selected as a featured speaker at the recent TEDxNewburgh event. His talk, "On the Internet, No One Knows You're a Dog," covered his experiences as the attorney for several high profile Orange County projects including LEGOLAND, when the line between fact and opinion blurred with the increasing use of social media to spread opinions masquerading as fact and deliberate misinformation.
TED talks invite influential persons from a variety of backgrounds to present short speeches that share ideas or information unique to that person's personal or professional experience. These speeches are then made available online for anyone to seek out and watch. This format has recently gained incredible popularity with the public as an easy way to have an educational and informational online experience from knowledgeable individuals from diverse backgrounds. The TEDxNewburgh is the first of its kind presented in our area.
