Profile
After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in economics, James enrolled in the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2025.
While at the University of Baltimore, James was involved with the school’s clinical program, recently ranked fourth in the nation by U.S. News, as a student-attorney in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). As a member of the LITC, James was responsible for representing indigent taxpayers in their disputes against the Internal Revenue Service and Maryland Comptroller.
It was here that James started a collaborative project with the Maryland Correctional Training Center Social Work Office, where he worked with incarcerated individuals across Maryland to help them claim their Covid-era Stimulus Checks. James personally worked with over 20 individuals across 7 different correctional institutions. In recognition of this work, James was honored at the annual University of Baltimore Awards Ceremony with the Clinic Excellence Award, which is given to the top Clinic student each year, as voted by the Clinic Faculty. James is proud to share that the LITC has continued this project after his graduation, with every LITC student-attorney now handling their share of incarcerated clients.
James credits his work with the Clinic for teaching him how to handle a busy caseload, communicate with clients, and how to effectively advocate for their positions. James will look to leverage these skills on behalf of clients in the areas of real estate, commercial, and municipal practices.
