We are seeking a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support our business and estate planning, probate and administration matters.
Working closely with our attorneys and paralegals, this position will be primarily responsible for assisting with estate probate and administration tasks including drafting documents, handling electronic filings and searches; preparing estate and Supplemental Needs Trust accountings; preparing wills, health care proxies, and powers of attorney; maintaining and reconciling estate checking accounts; maintaining calendar dates; and drafting correspondence and filing.
We will consider candidates who demonstrate strong skills in WORD and Excel, have some law firm or office experience, and possess an educational background with high marks in a related field such as legal/paralegal studies or accounting. Qualified candidates must also be able to juggle multiple tasks, demonstrate bookkeeping skills or knowledge, possess a strong work ethic, and offer two professional references. Successful candidate will recognize the importance of attention to detail and professionalism in the execution of all work.
Residential Real Estate Paralegal
We have an immediate opening for an experienced residential real estate paralegal. Qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience in handling residential buy/sell real estate transactions from inception to post-closing. This experience will include preparing contracts and riders, assisting with title and survey review, identifying and handling pre- and post-closing issues, preparing closing statements with accuracy, and maintaining proactive, professional communications with brokers, clients, and others throughout the transaction. Paralegal Certificate and/or Associate Degree preferred. Residential lending experience a plus. Two professional references must be provided. This is not an entry-level position; only experienced candidates will be considered.
Office Services Assistant
Drake Loeb PLLC is looking to fill a new full-time Office Services Assistant position. An Office Services Assistant will perform administrative tasks for the office and staff including: receptionist duties; opening new matters including running conflict checks and drafting retainer letters; entering time slips and general data entry; producing, copying, and scanning legal documents; running firm errands including off-site file retrieval, banking tasks, and mail/FedEx drop-off; and maintaining files.
We will consider candidates who have some experience in an office; have strong skills in Adobe Acrobat, WORD, and Excel; and possess an educational background with high marks in a related field such as legal studies, office technologies, or clerical office assistant. Qualified candidates must also have reliable transportation for errands, be able to juggle multiple tasks, possess a professional demeanor and a can-do attitude, and offer two professional references.
